The tough environmental standard developed in the United Kingdom comes to Ottawa’s Zibi project.

Zibi is a 34-acre master planned community bordering the Ottawa River. The lands are being redeveloped, and slated to be the most interesting and greenest project in North America by adhering to all 10 principles of the world-class One Planet Living framework, which was first developed in the UK.  Sean Lawrence reveals to TreeHugger how the One Planet Living framework is at the forefront of the Blocks 206 & 207 design, and how the design intends to tell “a historical narrative of what happened on the site from its indigenous heritage through to its industrial archaeology”.
