The comedy-drama Sex and the City opens with Carrie Bradshaw scampering up the steps of her brownstone, a scene meant to capture the character’s charisma. Had she lingered by an elevator, it wouldn’t have felt the same.
The quick flight home is an appealing feature of the brownstone; another is its brick facade and high ceilings, design cues that Kohn Architects borrowed for the romantic architectural style at Towns on Leslie.
