About the project
EtobiCo is an emerging district for creative entrepreneurs. The development is growing through a connected community of buildings in Toronto’s South Etobicoke neighbourhood, along Advance Road, Norseman St and Bering St. With curated work spaces and amenities, the development tailors to a new class of entrepreneurs looking to cowork, lease or own transformative work spaces in South Etobicoke. The Downing Street Group and Kohn Partnership Architects have brought the EtobiCo buildings together with an established black and white brand, mixing modern and industrial elements to create a community of buildings and an exciting district of workspace.
WorkshopCo is a retrofitted factory, new commercial office and retail space. Located at 190 Norseman, this adaptive-reuse project was previously a shirt factory and is reminiscent of its industrial past. It provides an open concept warehouse, showroom and office space for tenants in creative e-commerce business. The building provides open and private office and meeting space, as well as loading and warehouse space. The development has generous high ceilings, brick and block walls, concrete floors, steel structure and large factory-style windows, which have all been exposed and refinished, and flood the space with natural light. Each unit has private entrance ways and glass overhead doors for easy loading for both day-to-day operating and shipping needs, creating flexible warehouse, office and showroom space perfect for today’s e-commerce world.
